This artwork features a delicate lotus blossom growing at a rakish angle from large leaves with a bud hanging overhead. It is brushed on top of a brushed poem - Iroha - the ancient Japanese poem about the fleeting nature of reality.  This poem is brushed in purple hirakana on very thin handmade tengucho paper. The whole composition is mounted on a very light purple washi paper with intricate patterns suggesting iridescent waves. The colors of the artwork itself create a harmonious blend of text and imagery. The piece has a contemplative feel that will bring peace to any room. Art Print
